About that Sunset...

Regan is still holding her own w/out oxygen support (4 days now). That's totally amazing, considering three weeks ago today we met with the Hospice doctor at St. John's. The consensus among her doctors was that it would only be a few days or weeks.

On that day their best advice was that we should come home and keep her comfortable while she rode off into the sunset.

But Today--she's made a nearly full recovery. She's happier and more alert than she's been in months. She's singing and chattering most of the day.

Wow.

I guess that sunset will have to wait, huh?

I heard a song on the radio this morning that made me think of Regan. It's by Mark Harris - might be called "wish you were here". He talks of "dancing with angels on streets made of gold". The first time I was priviledged to hear Regan sing I felt like she was singing with angels only she could see. Now I picture her someday free of her "earth suit" that holds her captive, singing AND dancing with her angel friends. I was so happy to see her at school yesterday.
Your family's strength and faith is a true inspiration.
God Bless you

Brian and Chantelle,
I wanted you to know that I am thinking and praying for you and your family during this time. I am strengthened each time I read your thoughts. Regan has taught me so much and I thank god he has let me get to know her and your family.
